Former bp CISO Simon Hodgkinson Joins Onyxia Cyber’s Advisory Board
We are excited to announce that Simon Hodgkinson, former bp Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), will be joining Onyxia as a strategic advisor.
During his nearly two decades working at bp, Hodgkinson held a variety of senior leadership roles and prior to serving as CISO, he was the VP of Infrastructure and Integration Services. Hodgkinson was globally responsible for cybersecurity across information and operations technology, including strategy and architecture, GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance), business information security, security engineering, security operations, and incident response.
In his role as strategic advisor, Hodgkinson will share his wealth of cybersecurity experience across the software, financial services, and energy sectors. He will work closely with our leadership team to continue Onyxia’s push for innovation in the cyber risk and performance management category, empowering security leaders to make data-driven decisions, optimize cybersecurity program ROI, and enhance overall risk management.
Onyxia CEO and Founder, Sivan Tehila, commented on the addition of Simon Hodgkinson as a strategic advisor: “Adding someone with Simon’s level of experience and knowledge to our advisory team is another notch marking Onyxia’s emergence as a market leader in Cybersecurity Management. His approach will not only help guide us with our product development but also with invaluable partner and client relations. We are so excited to have him officially join our board of CISO advisors.”
Onyxia recently unveiled its AI-powered Cybersecurity Management Platform, which is designed to transform how organizations assess, optimize, and communicate the business value of their cybersecurity programs.
“Onyxia’s vision for how CISOs can improve cybersecurity strategy, performance and reporting really resonated with me,” Hodgkinson said. “Their unique approach to security program assessment and benchmarking, business-level reporting and ROI optimization is remarkable. What Onyxia will deliver is exactly what I required as a serving CISO.”
Adding Hodgkinson to the Onyxia advisory team will further solidify the company’s commitment to empowering CISOs with an essential tool to provide the insights needed to proactively manage cybersecurity risks and protect critical assets for their organizations.
